1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing and using DoctVault (the "Service"), you agree to be legally bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree with any part of these terms, please do not use the Service.

These terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you (the "User") andDoctVault (the "Service Provider").

Implied acceptance: Continued use of the Service constitutes acceptance of these terms.

2. Service Description

DoctVault is a free web application that allows image conversion between different formats entirely locally in the user's browser, without the need to upload files to external servers.

4. Prohibited Use

It is strictly prohibited to use DoctVault for:

  • 3. Spam and phishing: Generating images for unsolicited email campaigns, scams or identity theft.
  • 4. Automated attacks: Using bots, scrapers, scripts or tools for massive requests that overload infrastructure.
  • 5. Reverse engineering: Attempting to decipher, decompile, extract source code or algorithms of the service.
  • 6. Reselling the service: Commercializing access to DoctVault without express written authorization.
  • 7. Bypassing limitations: Evading technical limits (file size, number of conversions) through artificial techniques.
  • 8. Malware and viruses: Attempting to load infected files or exploits that compromise other users' security.

Consequences: Violation of these terms may result in permanent access suspension and legal action if applicable.

5. Intellectual Property

5.1. Service Ownership

All source code, visual design, user interface, logos, trademarks and content of DoctVault are protected by international copyright laws and are the exclusive property of the Service Provider or its licensors.

6. Service Availability

We strive to keep DoctVault available 24/7/365, but we do NOT guarantee uninterrupted availability. The service may be temporarily unavailable due to:

Notification: We will try to notify 24 hours in advance via visible banner.

6.2. Unplanned Interruptions

7. Limitation of Liability

7.2. Exclusion of Damages

In NO EVENT shall the Service Provider be liable to you or third parties for:

  • Data loss: Although processing is local, we don't guarantee files won't be lost due to browser errors, lack of RAM, tab crashes or JavaScript bugs.
  • Indirect damages: Lost profits, business opportunities, reputational damage, loss of clients or contracts.
  • Misuse: Legal, criminal or civil consequences arising from processing illegal or infringing content.
  • Technical incompatibilities: Problems caused by outdated browsers, conflicting extensions, blocking antivirus, or very low-end devices.
  • Punitive or exemplary damages: Any financial penalties beyond actual damages.

7.3. Monetary Limitation

Maximum liability: In the hypothetical case that legal liability of the Provider is determined, the maximum compensation is limited to €0 (zero euros), given that the service is completely free.

7.4. Jurisdictional Validity

Some jurisdictions do not allow exclusion of implied warranties or limitation of consequential damages. If these limitations don't apply in your region, liability will be limited to the maximum permitted by law.

If we decide to discontinue DoctVault, we will provide 30 days prior noticevia prominent banner on the homepage.

No refund obligation: Being a free service, there is no financial compensation in case of closure.

11. Modifications to These Terms

We may occasionally update these Terms of Service to reflect:

These terms are governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of Spain (country of developer's residence) and applicable European regulations, including:

  • Information Society Services Law (LSSI)
  • E-Commerce Directive (2000/31/EC)

13.2. Dispute Resolution

Any controversy or claim arising from these terms will be resolved in the courts of Madrid, Spain, the parties expressly waiving any other jurisdiction that might correspond to them.

For users residing outside the European Union:

You may not assign or transfer your rights or obligations under these terms without prior written consent. We may assign our rights to any affiliate, successor or purchaser.
